16 years of grease

As I said before, I'm personally not a fan of over the range microwave oven hoods.  I just don't like how they block the upper space when you're standing at the stove and usually the vents aren't very strong/effective.  It served its purpose in our small galley kitchen where space was tight but now we're going to have plenty of room to spread out!!  So we decided to do away with it and put in more of a "conversation piece" exposed hood.  We'll show you that guy soon... get excited.

Check out this close-up.  The inside label said it was manufactured in 1996, hence the title "16 years of grease" that had built up in the vent and fan.  Yuck.
